Module Thirteen: Understand the legal context of business (D/506/1939)

On completion of this module you will:

  • Understand the legal framework within which businesses operate
  • Understand the principles of business governance
  • Understand how contract law affects a business
  • Understand the requirements of employment law

Requirements

This is a knowledge based course with practical aspects that will need to be demonstrated. You'll be assessed on the tasks you do at work and create a portfolio of evidence to show what you've achieved. Your qualification will be awarded once that portfolio has been signed off by your tutor. You will need to be working in an administrative role in order to begin this course

Assessment

After each lesson there will be a question paper which needs to be completed and submitted to your assessor for marking.

This method of continual assessment ensures that your assessor can consistently monitor your progress and provide you with assistance throughout the duration of the course.

You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper. The approximate amount of time required to complete the course is 214 hrs.
